Arman Navasardyan considers both Putin

Putin is a national hero from the perspective of the Russian voter

On March 18, Russia elected Vladimir Putin as the president of the country for the fourth time. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia Arman Navasardyan considers both Putin's reelection and the percentage of voices quite natural. “In Russian reality, historically, the Russian electorate finds it very difficult to give up its leader,” Navasardyan says.

The diplomat considers Putin's re-election very natural in terms of changing the development and philosophy of the country. “What happened after the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the attitude and feelings that Gorbachev, and then Yeltsin caused, changed immediately under Putin's rule," Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary emphasizes.

Yeltsin's Russia, being a second world country and perceived by the United States in the same way, is followed by Putin's Russia, which, according to Arman Navasardyan, claims a superpower and occupies one of the leading positions in the world. “If not a superpower, then at least an equal partner with the US and other countries. From the point of view of the Russian voter, Putin has become a national hero,” he says. Find the details of the conversation in the program “Paradigm”.
