Significant problems of educational system from the point of view of David Petrosyan and Anahit Bakhshyan

Education policy is violated, avoided and ignored.

Education policy is violated, avoided and ignored, even if it is clearly formulated. And we don’t know how to deal with it. Education expert Anahit Bakhshyan adds that the issues of the education sector arise as a result of all this.

“The problem is that huge sums have been invested to ensure the decentralization of the management of the education system. Very nice things are written in the law: decentralize, increase the autonomy of universities, schools, turn to self-governance, teachers, parents, students should participate in decision-making. But in fact, the opposite happens,” says Anahit Bakhshyan.

Representative of “YSU Restart” Initiative David Petrosyan, who is also a member of the “For the development of science” initiative, notes that during this initiative it became clear that the Ministry of Education has no autonomy. “The problem related to education was solved in the Ministry of Defense and not in the Ministry of Education," says Davit Petrosyan. He also adds that during that time they realized that in the university, where they study, there are a number of significant problems. Find the details in the program “Paradigm”.
