There is no alternative: the judicial system needs to be entirely changed - Norayr Norikyan

Even in the case of the population of eight million people, nothing will change unless the judiciary is independent

The judicial power lies at the core of the country's development, therefore, if we do not have an independent judicial system that will ensure justice, then the country will not have any prospects, even if billions are invested in Armenia. “Even in the case of the population of eight million people, nothing will change unless the judiciary is independent,” attorney Norayr Norikyan notes.

He notes that we are now living in a dramatic era when the judicial system is in the zugzwang situation.”I am sure that we did not have an independent judiciary: judiciary representatives of the major crimes expected the executive branch to issue the appropriate instructions for the implementation of ‘justice’,” he says.

Norikyan also emphasizes that if we really proclaim new ideals and want to fundamentally change the direction of development of the state, then we must strive for radical changes in the judicial and legal system. “There is no alternative: these reforms involve fundamental changes, from the Supreme Judicial Council to the courts. It is necessary to restore the bad reputation,” Norikyan says. Find the details in the program “Paradigm”.
