Khachik Hakobyan: It is natural that society is demanding in the sphere of ecology

Deputy Ministry of Nature Protection Khachik Hakobyan lists modern mechanisms of the control system against deforestation. “In the areas and communities close to the forest, social issues force residents to cut down the forests. Certainly, we implement control measures, but our resources are insufficient to implement them over all residents,” the Deputy Minister explains.


According to Khachik Hakobyan, to be engaged in ecology is the duty of every citizen, therefore, he considers it natural that society in this matter feels responsible and demanding about this issue. “Often the public reaction is more accurate and prompt than the responsible officials can fix, for which we are really grateful," Khachik Hakobyan notes.
