Fiction has lost its relevance: Founder of Bureaucrat Bookstore

There is a choice in the US: to be either diabolical or angelic.

Fiction has lost its relevance. It's probably bad that the founder of a bookshop expresses this way, but we need to read other books. Founder and head of Bureaucrat Cafe & Bookstore Samvel Hovhannisyan emphasizes, “when reading fiction, the brain does not strain, instead, imaginative and creative thinking develops, but professional literature requires mental strain”. Samvel Hovhannisyan not only sells the books but also creates them.

The businessman, living in the United States, believes that the freedom is the best thing for Americans, but it is also the worst one. “There is a choice in the US: to be either diabolical or angelic,” Samvel Hovhannisyan notes. In the context of freedom, he recalls Yerevan and its customs at the beginning of the century. “I was the first who started wearing red shoes in Yerevan in 2000, but everyone said that I was a gay, but it was not so, I just wore red shoes. Today these people wear red shoes.

What was a “predictable death” for Samvel Hovhannisyan, where did he get the idea of turning a clothes shop “Bureaucrat” into a bookshop? The frank admissions of a businessman in the framework of the program “Hard Talk”.
